Findlay Township supervisors voted May 13 to approve a $55,200 transportation design services quote from HRG to add two right-turn lanes on Burgettstown Road to improve traffic flow onto I-576.
Assistant Manager Brandon Stanick told the board HRG’s scope covers field surveying, base mapping, utility coordination, preliminary and final design and construction administration; the work would be funded from Findlay Transportation District funds. The proposed widening would accommodate two right-turn lanes — one for eastbound traffic turning onto Burgettstown Road and one for westbound traffic turning onto I-576.
Supervisor Thomas Gallant moved to approve HRG’s quote; Raymond Chappell seconded and the motion carried, 3 ayes. The board recorded the vote and authorized staff to proceed with contract processing and design-phase work.
The approval directs the township to proceed with engineering design; construction funding and scheduling were not discussed at the meeting and will require later actions.
