The South Zanesville Village Council unanimously approved a package of ordinances and a resolution during its Dec. 8 meeting.
Ordinances and resolution passed (roll-call votes recorded as unanimous): - Ordinance 2025-5: Appropriations for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2026 (third reading). Motion to pass by Ed Harlan; seconded by Greg Gibson. Vote: unanimous. - Ordinance 2025-6: Authorizing the volunteer fire department of South Zanesville to provide fire protection to Springfield Township (third reading). Motion to pass by Greg Gibson; seconded by Ed Harlan. Vote: unanimous. - Ordinance 2025-7: Designating the first Monday of every month as the regular council meeting for 2026 and committee schedule (third reading). Motion to pass by Bo Coconis; seconded by Ed Harlan. Vote: unanimous. - Ordinance 2025-8: Setting refuse pickup rates for the village (third reading). Motion to pass by Paul Lowe; seconded by Ed Harlan. Vote: unanimous. - Resolution 1136: Authorizing pay raises for certain village employees (third reading).
