The State Fire Marshal inspected a propane tank on a private property reported to the Middle River City Council and concluded the tank "must be moved 10' off the property line," according to meeting minutes from the June 10 council session.
City officials told the council the property owner has been given 60 days to provide a plan of correction; a 30- to 60-day extension can be granted if necessary. The owner informed the city administrator that the tank may be moved during the week of June 15 and is working with the local co-op to correct the placement.
Council members recorded the enforcement timeline and did not modify the marshal's finding at the meeting. The item was discussed as part of Fire Department business; the meeting minutes also note that the pool-filling project will not proceed.
