Historic District Commission recommends approval of demolition permit for 26075 Woodlore Road

The Historic District Commission recommended approval of a demolition permit for 26075 Woodlore Road at its May 6 meeting.

Billie Franklin, chair of the Historic District Commission, opened new business and asked whether the applicant was present. Matthew Kergman identified himself as the property owner and confirmed he had submitted a packet of materials and photographs for the commission’s review.

Commissioners noted the house sits outside the historic district proper but said the commission reviews demolition applications for properties within the village under local ordinance. No commissioner identified any architectural or historic significance for the property during discussion.

“I see no issues,” Franklin said before calling for a motion. Matthew Kergman moved to approve the demolition permit and to forward the commission’s recommendation to the building department; a colleague seconded the motion. The commission voted in favor and issued the recommendation.

Kergman referenced the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation during the discussion. Franklin stated, “Seeing no objections, your permit is approved by the historic district commission,” when the vote concluded.

The commission also adopted its agenda and the minutes of the April 1, 2026 meeting earlier in the session. The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:29 p.m.
