Miss Jackson explained that changes to Medicaid reimbursement rules have reduced historical revenue and that Relay Hub will perform both billing and administrative functions. Mr. Middleton said SchoolMint has been generally easy for parents to use, providing English and Spanish text messaging and application support; the board asked whether additional language support is available.
Board members asked routine procurement questions, including vendor performance, price increases (Naviance) and contract renewal end dates; one board member flagged a typographical error on a contract end date that staff said would be corrected before the full-board packet is produced.
What happens next: Chair Wilcox moved and the committee approved forwarding this grouped package to the full board for consideration. Staff will prepare the corrected materials and any required memoranda of understanding based on board feedback.
