Thorp hears SEH updates: sanitary and water mains complete, curb pour planned, lead service replacements funded

Engineering consultant SEH told the council that Haas Sons completed sanitary and water main work on W. School and N. Church Street, storm sewer work is nearly complete, a curb pour is scheduled the week of Oct. 10 or Oct. 17, PSI completed soil borings and will send a report to CN Railroad, and lead service-line reimbursement funding was distributed for 16 replacements.
City engineering consultant SEH reported construction progress and next steps for multiple infrastructure projects at the Oct. 10 council meeting.
Haas Sons has completed sanitary and water main installation related to the W. School & N. Church Street utility improvements project. SEH said storm-sewer work was expected to be finished by the meeting date and that the contractor planned to pour curb work late in the week of Oct. 10 or early in the week of Oct. 17.
SEH reported that PSI completed soil borings; the PSI report is expected next week and will be submitted to the CN Railroad as part of right-of-way coordination. The Wastewater Treatment Plant project’s right-of-way map was described as nearing finalization.
On lead service lines, the meeting record states that funding has been distributed for 16 replacements for reimbursement and that SEH will submit an Intent to Apply/Priority Evaluation & Ranking Form for the 2023 Lead Service Line Replacement Program at no cost to the city; a final report will be submitted to the Wisconsin DNR in support of funding.
