Bluff posts openings for minute taker and issues maintenance RFP; seeks legal and audit proposals

Erin Nelson told council the town is opening applications for a part-time minute/notetaker (W-2 employee) and inviting proposals for a year-long general maintenance contractor (1099), with applications due July 10. The maintenance RFQ requires applicants to carry liability and workers'compensation insurance and to provide licenses for specific projects; the town may permit alternative pay proposals and will consider applicants who request flexibility around scope, particularly for cemetery interment work that may raise cultural considerations.
Nelson said hiring will follow previous procedures: staff and two councilmembers will interview and then recommend a hire to the full council. Mayor Ewing requested volunteers for the hiring committee; Spencer Wade and Jennifer Davila agreed to serve, and Ewing volunteered to serve on an emergency services hiring committee when that recruitment occurs. The town also reported active requests for proposals for legal services and for accounting audit services.
Applications for the maintenance services RFQ are due July 10. Nelson noted a preference for a Bluff resident but said hybrid arrangements could be considered.
