The Bridgewater Conservation Commission reviewed multiple filings on June 25, approving routine septic repairs and two subdivision-lot notices while continuing several items for additional mitigation plans or documentation.
The commission granted a negative determination for a septic repair at 339 Auburn Street after the applicant's engineer described erosion controls and confirmed board of health approval. "The septic system is in failure, and it does have board of health approval," the applicant's representative said, and staff and commissioners reported no site-staking concerns.
The panel also approved a negative determination for the failed system at 65 Lyman Place (Map 119 Lot 65); staff verified staking and board-of-health review. For Duxborough Estates, the commission approved notices of intent for 21 and 26 Hewitson Way with standard conditions that include reestablishing buried erosion controls discovered during site visits.
Several items were continued. The Old Farm Trail/Old State Farm Trail filing (Map 90 Lot 99A) was continued to July 23 for the applicant to provide a mitigation/replication plan after a commissioner identified a wetland replication requirement (2:1) not shown on the application. A written request and applicant presentation led the commission to continue a hearing for 550 Curves Street to 07/23/2026 to allow time for a third-party peer-review response. The RDA for 45 Harvard Street was also continued to July 23 so the applicant can confirm whether a shed and patio within the 50-foot buffer were previously permitted or require an after-the-fact filing; the commission directed staff to pursue a separate cease-and-desist and cleanup for dumped lawn clippings found in the buffer.
