Sunrise Engineering also briefed the council on the North Sewer Line and potential expansion. Smith said the engineering team, Mayor Devin Simpson, a town staff member identified as Cliff and Councilmember Woolley discussed alternatives to adding lagoons, including a smaller mechanical treatment plant footprint. The team intends to pursue a State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) application at SLIB's next meeting in February to secure funding for the study and possible expansion.
The council addressed municipal equipment needs during the streets report. Councilmember Woolley said the street sweeper requires a new head assembly. The manufacturer quoted $8,592.48 plus $400 shipping, while an aftermarket option was available for $5,830.24 (shipping included).
