Thayne council sets Jan. 15 deadline for community center camera work after year-long delay

Councilmember Pelletier told the Thayne Town Council on Dec. 18 that the community has been awaiting installation of a camera system at the Community Center for more than a year and urged the council to set a clear deadline for completion. "We have been waiting for over a year to have it done," Pelletier said during the meeting.
The council agreed to give the current contractor a deadline of Jan. 15, 2025 to deliver a working system; if the contractor does not meet that date, the council indicated it will investigate hiring another installer. The minutes also note that Silver Star increased network speed at the Community Center to improve video streaming performance.
The council’s direction is administrative; no procurement or contracting motion was recorded at the Dec. 18 meeting beyond setting the deadline and directing Councilmember Pelletier to contact the contractor.
