Bluff — The Bluff Town Council reviewed and authorized circulation of a draft job posting for a newly funded Emergency Services Coordinator position at its July 7 meeting.
Mayor Josh Ewing presented the posting and said the council has allocated $40,000 for the position in the FY2026/2027 budget. Councilmembers asked staff to review salary versus hourly pay and to return any suggested edits to Ewing or staff by Friday with the intention of posting the job next week. Councilmember Britt Hornsby said taking the position year by year allows the town to build a plan and respond to community requests for better emergency services coordination.
No formal hiring or job offer was approved at the meeting; the council authorized publication of the posting and requested staff return to the council for further budget or structural decisions if necessary.
