Residents raised concerns about the condition of a bridge on Potato Hill Road, a Class VI road, and the Selectboard agreed to take preliminary steps to assess the situation.
Suzanne Goulet reported that residents expressed worries about the bridge and noted that water is coming to a second bridge from two locations. The Board agreed to conduct a site visit to inspect the structure, reach out to the ATV club for possible assistance with access or light work, research potential grant funding for repairs, and determine ownership and maintenance responsibility before taking formal action.
Because Potato Hill is a Class VI road, the Board emphasized the need to clarify which entity is responsible for maintenance and any needed repairs before committing town funds. No motion was made at the meeting; the Board framed the decision as an information‑gathering step and directed staff to return with findings.
