The Sandy Beach Commission on March 19 accepted a resignation letter from a staff member identified only as Todd, effective March 19, 2026, and began an expedited recruitment process for a Beach Manager and staff.
Jennifer Parsons read Todd’s resignation letter to the commission. Kathy Van Ormer moved to accept the resignation; Andy Parker seconded and the vote was recorded as unanimous. Ed Ryle reported that Todd’s handover package included folders, paperwork, employment records and keys; Kathy Van Ormer took custody of those materials and planned to inspect the cabin on March 20 to identify spring cleanup needs.
Commissioners reviewed updated job descriptions and applications prepared by Van Ormer and asked colleagues to submit suggested edits to her by Sunday, March 22. The commission agreed to post the job on Monday, March 23 on town websites, an e‑blast, social media and at the Lakeview Guidance office; Terry Connor volunteered to print and distribute recruitment flyers around town.
The minutes list a Beach Manager’s update as an agenda item, but record no other staff updates at this meeting.
