Mansfield Library trustees met on March 12, 2026, and unanimously approved the February 2026 minutes and several routine motions, trustees said.
Chair Gretchen Whitcomb moved to approve the February minutes as amended; Treasurer Carter Sartell seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting, Nicole Concordia moved to accept donations totaling $500 for children's books; Whitcomb seconded and trustees voted to accept the donation. The director's report separately lists additional gifts and grant support (see below).
Trustees recorded the results of an election: Nicole Concordia was elected to serve another term, and Diane Reese was elected as a write-in. Trustees noted that Diane Reese must accept the position and be sworn in before serving.
On facilities and grounds, Whitcomb moved to spend $40 for pansies in the library planters; Lori Sherburne seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Carter Sartell agreed to maintain the planters. Whitcomb also said she will bring materials to install insulation in a bathroom as a trustee action item.
The board set its next meeting for April 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. and adjourned at 7:02 p.m. The minutes were submitted by Secretary Lori Sherburne.
What the votes mean: the recorded motions were procedural approvals and small discretionary expenditures; no new policies, contracts, or budgetary reallocations were adopted at this meeting.
