Temple Select Board approves Fire Department credit card, reappoints officers and backs clean-energy support

The Temple Select Board unanimously approved a set of routine municipal actions at its Feb. 24 meeting at Town Hall, including a town credit card for the Fire Department and multiple reappointments to town offices and commissions.
Ezell moved and Willard seconded a motion allowing Fire Chief George Clark to be issued a town credit card for Fire Department purchases such as incidentals and rescue items; the motion passed unanimously. The board said the card is intended to address vendor requests for upfront card payments.
Chair Ken Caisse moved to reappoint Peter Caswell to a three-year term as the town health officer; Bill Ezell seconded and the motion passed. The board also reappointed Cathy Joly, Mike Madden, and Clay and Marie Lennartz to three-year terms on the Conservation Commission (motion by Ezell, seconded by Willard) and reappointed Danny Cournoyer to a three-year term on the Recreation Commission (motion by Caisse, seconded by Ezell). Caisse moved to approve the Feb. 10 Select Board minutes as written; Willard seconded and the motion carried.
On municipal spending, Caisse said the town report printed with more pages this year, increasing the printer's fee by $232; the board voted to cover the additional cost from the contingency fund (motion by Ezell, seconded by Willard). The board also approved a building permit for a garage on Old Peterborough Road for applicant Guy/Beal, with the approval conditioned on the road agent's sign-off (motion by Caisse, seconded by Ezell).
The board voted to officially support a clean energy act that would extend municipal net metering after Planning Board request (motion by Ezell, seconded by Willard). All recorded motions in this meeting passed unanimously.
