Conservation Commission approves Natural Resource Inventory, readies Backstreet River grand opening and cleanup week

Goulet said the Conservation Commission approved the town’s Natural Resource Inventory, a foundational document for conservation planning. The commission is organizing a town-wide cleanup week and a free dump day to encourage community participation in litter removal and site stewardship.
Goulet also reported the commission approved transitioning the town phone system to a VoIP provider to reduce costs and improve service. Finally, she outlined plans for the Backstreet River park grand opening, including vendor participation, planned activities and park improvements to be completed ahead of the ceremony.
No formal board votes were taken on the Conservation Commission items at the meeting; Goulet presented the commission’s plans for the board’s awareness and future coordination.
