Surry selectmen set early-January budget schedule; $500 health-officer request noted

Selectman Steve Goldsmith asked the Budget Committee to schedule the town’s annual budget meeting for early January. The board confirmed a related meeting for the warrant-article fee schedule on Jan. 7, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. at the town hall and noted the Planning Board may meet on Jan. 14, 2026.
Selectman Jay Croteau noted that Bruce Smith requested department budgets be submitted by Jan. 5, 2026. Selectman Ron Profaizer reported he had received an email from John Davis requesting $500 for the health officer budget. The minutes also record a $50 invoice from the NH Health Officers Association for 2026 membership.
