The board voted to continue a pending complaint to the next meeting after learning Miss Reinhardt had a medical emergency and could not attend. The Chair said it was appropriate to allow Miss Reinhardt an opportunity to present, moving to continue the complaint so her case could be heard at the next meeting.
A Committee member moved to continue the complaint; the Chair seconded and the motion passed with all in favor. The Chair said the continuance would be noted as an action item so the board could review the related case materials at the next meeting.
Separately, the Chair asked whether Jerry Louise would return to the board; the Chair said if she would not, the board should advertise the vacancy and begin a replacement process. Legal counsel asked whether Jerry had been appointed by the board or by the city commission, noting that “it impacts the process for getting her replacement.” The Chair said the board would look into who made the appointment and determine next steps.
The meeting then proceeded to reports and other agenda items before adjourning.
