Regional planner: Little Falls comprehensive plan 80% complete; steering committee to deliver draft next week

Sarah Bouillon, MVEDD’s community planner, told the Little Falls Town Board on March 10 that the town’s comprehensive plan is about 80% complete and that two environmental reviews remain.
Bouillon said the first environmental review will occur with the planning and steering committees and the second with the town board; she will prepare SEQR Part One as the consultant while the town will serve as lead agency for Parts Two and Three. She told the board the steering committee will have the draft plan in about one week and that the town board will then review it.
Bouillon emphasized outreach: "NYS likes to award state money to towns who tell their stories well," she said, urging the town to collect stories from residents and to include them in the plan’s public-engagement materials and on the town’s Facebook page to strengthen grant competitiveness. She also said she has mentors and state contacts who can advise on grant viability.
The board thanked Bouillon for the update; no formal action was recorded beyond receiving the report and scheduling review of the draft.
