Resident urges expanded transportation and transitional housing during Richland County public comment

Pendergrass said she had been assisted by programs and people who offered ‘humanity’ and support, and that people who have lived through homelessness understand what services are needed. She urged the council to expand transportation and transitional housing assistance so residents can reach jobs and supportive services.
The chair thanked Pendergrass and closed the public-comment slot; no council action was taken on the item during the meeting.
