The board met July 8 and voted to approve last month’s minutes, accepted the treasurer’s report and adopted the Special Government Entity (SPGE) budget for submission to the SPGE portal.
The chair opened the meeting, confirmed a quorum of members present for routine business and called for approval of the minutes from the prior month, which passed on a voice vote. The treasurer reported an account balance of $127,151.25 and explained a 3% contractual increase effective in July. The treasurer’s report was moved, seconded and approved by the board.
Under new business the chair introduced the SPGE budget the board must file; copies had been circulated in advance and the chair said the plan was a “pretty clean budget” with few line items beyond monthly bills, insurance and operational expenses. A motion to approve and accept the SPGE budget was moved by Brooke and seconded; board members voted in favor and the motion passed.
The board did not record detailed roll-call vote tallies during the meeting; the chair later noted the meeting had achieved unanimous voice approvals on the recorded motions. The chair told members that once he returned home he would submit the finalized budget through the SPGE portal.
The meeting adjourned after brief board reports and a scheduling check for the next meeting, which was announced on the record as “8 12 of 26.”
