County staff asked the Tippecanoe County Commissioners to approve final transaction documents with Avenue Inc. for the 425 North project. Staff said the Phase 1 package covers multiple signal installations and roadway segments and “amounts to 20,550,000.”
The presentation identified elements in Phase 1 including signals at County Road 575 East, 500 North at River Road and at Yeager, a stretch of 425 from Yeager to County Road 50 West, and a curve correction at 500 North and 50 West. Staff also said two pieces — identified as Bridal 530 and an additional signal at Yeager and Calvert — remain under negotiation and would be the subject of an amendment estimated at about $3,400,000. Staff noted those additions keep the project total below an earlier figure cited in May of roughly $25.6 million.
The commissioners voted to approve Resolution 2026‑22‑CM authorizing the president and vice president to sign the final transaction documents; the motion passed by voice vote.
