Jefferson council approves cooperative purchasing, park lighting, administrator pay increase and property offer; reappoints election workers

At its Dec. 22 meeting the Jefferson Common Council authorized cooperative purchasing through BuyBoard, approved a Riverfront Park lighting purchase not to exceed $41,000, amended the City Administrator's 2026 pay to $161,002.15, approved an offer to purchase several Arrow, Inc. parcels, and reappointed election workers for 2026-2027.
The Jefferson Common Council approved a set of procurement and personnel measures and authorized a property purchase at its Dec. 22 meeting.
The council unanimously authorized the city to participate in the BuyBoard National Purchasing Cooperative, approving an Interlocal Participation Agreement and naming the City Administrator as the authorized representative. Using that cooperative, the council approved Resolution No. 80 to purchase light fixtures for Riverfront Park Diamond 1 from Wisconsin Lighting Lab (referred to in the minutes as WiLL) in an amount not to exceed $41,000, with orders and related down payments to be made after the start of the 2026 budget year. The minutes note the Parks and Recreation Director identified Wisconsin Lighting Lab as the vendor.
