At the Sept. 2, 2025 Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors meeting residents used open forum to raise procedural and permitting concerns, the board received an audit presentation and set a meeting for an upcoming recycling-grant discussion.
A resident who identified himself as Bob asked the board to ensure agendas are posted online at least three days before meetings. Another resident, Johann, asked that Xcel and county officials be made aware that a driveway permit will not be issued for a property on 148th; the transcript records the request but does not show a response from county or utility staff.
The board heard an audit presentation from Ashley of Schlenner Wenner & Co. (listed on the agenda as "Audit Presentation"). Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen reported $78.63 in petty cash was used for election food.
Under new business the board moved the budget workshop to a later meeting. Chairman Helman said he will attend a county discussion about a Recycling Township Grant on Sept. 29.
Several items raised by members of the public and by staff were set for follow-up at the board's next meeting or during the budget process.
