Township grants two residential variances for Newry Lane and Robin Lane properties

Blair Township supervisors approved two residential variances during the Aug. 12 meeting.
Secretary/Treasurer Kami Bilek presented a variance request from homeowners Nicholas and Devynn Tartalone for 1110 Newry Lane seeking a 9 feet 5 inches variance to construct an addition that would sit 5 feet 5 inches from the property line; the existing structure lies within the setback but predates the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance. Solicitor Patrick Fanelli said he reviewed the Tartalone Variance Agreement and found no exceptions. Supervisor Brad Germaux moved to approve the Tartalone variance; Chairman Paul Amigh seconded and the motion passed with two yes votes.
Bilek also presented a variance request from Scott and Lauren Trimarco for 1206 Robin Lane to allow a garage within five feet of the property line, a 10-foot variance; the Trimarcos own the adjacent side property and wished to complete a variance agreement with themselves. Solicitor Fanelli noted there were one or two small changes needed before recording. The board conditionally approved the Trimarco Variance Agreement with the solicitor's revisions after a Germaux motion and Amigh second; the motion passed with two yes votes.
