Council members asked whether shifting work to KCI would require redundant reviews or extra cost; staff said minimal duplication was possible but that KCI would pick up ongoing inspection and oversight and that the town would reduce Century's role to the smallest practical scope. The motion to reduce Century Engineering's services for the force‑main/beneficial reuse project passed by voice vote.
Council asked staff to capture any costs that are repeat efforts and to report back on savings or duplicative charges.
