During agenda review, the planning board’s buffer comment and site‑plan considerations were discussed; town staff said the rezone and local law adoptions can proceed while site plan matters will be addressed once an application is filed. "Planning board recommends adoption of local law number 1 and local law number 2," the chair said, and the board indicated consent to adopt.
Separately, the Department of Engineering reported a funding delta of about $15,000 for a proposed EV charging station installation that the grant does not cover. The board discussed whether the town’s technology/franchise fee funds could be transferred to close the gap and directed staff to confirm funds are available and to prepare budget transfer language if appropriate. Town counsel or finance staff were asked to confirm any restrictions on those funds before final adoption of the EV charging item.
The board also received updates from Parks & Recreation on fee revisions and the parks master plan, and staff described conduit installation to support future electric service for an event area.
