Ferrysburg ZBA recommends appointment of Jim Menrick, confirms board leadership for 2025–26

At its July 10 meeting the Ferrysburg Zoning Board of Appeals recommended that the city council appoint Jim Menrick as a full member of the ZBA for a term ending July 1, 2027, and carried votes to select officers for the 2025–26 term.
Menrick addressed the board and said he would complete required training; board members confirmed residency and experience and then voted to forward a recommendation to city council. "Thank you," Menrick said after the vote.
Separately, the board nominated and approved a chairperson for 2025–26 and selected Joe Lyons as vice chair; roll calls recorded the selections. The meeting also included staff and member comments on enforcement of contractor staging on public streets, progress on the 168th Street paving project and a discussion about replacement of missing traffic signs near a recent development.
The board adjourned after routine reports and a brief exchange about local enforcement options and ongoing planning commission items.
