Price City Council approves consent agenda; Valor Atomics gives progress update during public comment

The consent package, approved on a motion by Councilmember Layne Miller and seconded by Councilmember Tanner Richardson, included: minutes from the June 10, 2026 City Council Workshop and related meetings; budgeted year‑end fund transfers; authorization to complete the 2026 Office of the State Auditor Fraud Risk Assessment Questionnaire; an entertainment contract with Heikura Dance School for International Days for $200; ratification of an agreement for use of the Desert Wave Pool facilities by Utah State University Eastern from Aug. 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027; and approvals of multiple business licenses, including Brees LLC, 2Worlds – Eats, Fisher Fireworks LLC, Chugg Soda Shop, American Promotional Events, Catalyst Beauty Collective LLC and Raven & Rose.
During the public‑comment period, Harry Hansen and Cory Gardner reported on developments at Valor Atomics, a company in Orangeville; the minutes record an update on the company’s progress but no formal action was taken. Separately, Councilmember Layne Miller announced that the Culture Connection event scheduled for June 25, 2026, was canceled because of smoky air quality.
