The PNC Commission postponed a scheduled public hearing on 520 Milton Street on July 6 after city staff said required notices were not properly delivered to all adjoining property owners.
A staff member told the commission that "not all property owners within 200 feet received the written notification as required by the Texas local government code." The staff member said the omission was discovered while locating a copy of the mailed notice and recommended the city resend letters, re-advertise the hearing in the newspaper and hold the public hearing in August. The commission agreed to skip the item for this meeting and to reschedule the hearing once notifications are complete.
No public comments on that hearing were recorded at the July 6 meeting, and staff said that because the notification requirement had not been met, proceeding with the hearing that night would not comply with the statutory notice procedures.
