Plan Commission approves a slate of plats and site plans; tables PDD approval‑criteria update

At its March 18 meeting the Village of Howard Plan Commission unanimously approved a series of plats and site plans and tabled a proposed amendment to the Planned Development District (PDD) approval criteria to allow additional staff analysis.
Key approvals included the revised Glen Acres preliminary plat (adjusted lot layout to address minimum lot size), the final plat for Kropp’s Corners (25 lots) with conditions on right‑of‑way alignment and stormwater easements, and the final plat for Hillsdale Heights (residential and future commercial lots) with standard stormwater/drainage conditions and FEMA compliance noted for lots in the floodplain. The commission also approved site plans for Shoreline Credit Union, Wisconsin Swim Academy, Century Fence (small addition), Perimeter Solutions (second driveway to separate chemical delivery traffic), AG Excavating (small addition) and a six‑unit building for Dan Tooley on OConnor Road, each with standard engineering, stormwater and driveway conditions as applicable.
Staff recommended tabling an amendment to Village Sec. 50‑750 (approval criteria for PDD zoning) so planners could further analyze minimum lot size and density requirements; the commission voted to table that item pending additional analysis. President Burt R. McIntyre also announced April 13 will be his final day as Village President after 21 years of service and thanked members and staff.
