Oscoda Board approves Match on Main application for Lake Theater

The Oscoda Township Board on April 13 accepted the Economic Improvement Committee’s recommendation and authorized staff to submit a Match on Main fiscal-year-2026 application for the Lake Theater to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
Trustee Tait moved and Supervisor Nicole Tregear supported the motion to authorize submission of the application and execution of any required certifications and materials. The board’s authorization allows staff to complete application materials and execute any required certifications as part of the application process; it does not commit local matching funds in the meeting record unless otherwise authorized in future board action.
Supporters at the table and in public comment thanked the Economic Improvement Committee and noted the application will be considered by the MEDC according to that program’s process.
