Commissioners sign Forest Service grant modification and several contracts, including an Access Idaho amendment

Franklin County commissioners on Aug. 12 approved a series of agreements and change orders, including a modification to a Forest Service grant that permits up to 49% of funds to be used for equipment purchases.
Sheriff Dave Fryar presented the Forest Service Modification of Grant or Agreement, reporting positive patrol feedback from county personnel. Dirk Bowles moved to sign the modification and Boyd Burbank seconded; the board’s vote was unanimous.
Treasurer Janet Kimpton told commissioners that the Cannery requested a Visa card reader and that Access Idaho (Rich Stacker) provided a new contract amendment reducing public processing fees from 3% to 2.5% for most transactions (the amendment excludes Court transactions). Boyd Burbank moved to sign the Access Idaho amendment; Dirk Bowles seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Deputy Clerk Sarah Layland presented East Oneida Change Order 8, which aims to provide a consistent surface condition and protect plant-mix pavement by applying a chip seal. Dirk Bowles moved to sign the change order; Boyd Burbank seconded and the vote was unanimous.
Commissioners recorded the approvals; no dissenting votes were reported.
