The Green Township Committee on May 4 adopted Ordinance 2026-06, which fixes minimum and maximum salary ranges for township officers and employees, and then approved Resolution 2026-105 to set specific pay rates for 2026.
The ordinance, adopted after a brief public hearing with no public comment, establishes ranges for salaried and hourly positions across municipal departments. Committee member Bader Qarmout noted the listed ranges “vary between 3–8 percent,” and Township Clerk Mark Zschack explained the ranges are intended to cover several years of increases and to set maximums rather than a one‑time raise.
Under Resolution 2026-105 the committee set individual 2026 salaries, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026 unless otherwise noted. Named figures in the resolution include Municipal Clerk/Registrar Mark Zschack at $139,506 and Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer Linda Di Lorenzo at $114,133; the resolution also lists salaries or hourly rates for department heads, clerical staff and public‑works employees. The resolution preserves the committee’s authority to approve additional increments by separate resolution.
The committee voted unanimously on both measures (DeYoung, Qarmout, Phillips recorded as ayes; Rose and Mayor Raffay were absent). The committee minutes record that salary changes may be made retroactive by future resolution and that probationary hires may be paid below the stated minimum during a 90‑day probationary period.
The measures were presented as part of the regular agenda; the committee did not discuss specific budget offsets at the meeting. The next Township Committee meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2026.
