The City of Lawrence Board of Public Works and Safety voted July 9 to renew its professional services agreement with Charles Taylor TPA LLC to continue third-party administration of the city’s vehicle and auto claims.
Jeanette Jackson, the city's human resources director, told the board Charles Taylor has served as the city's TPA since July 1 and recommended renewal as the city's property and casualty calendar year starts on July 1. Jason Luce, local account executive for Charles Taylor, said the firm helped generate savings during the first year of the arrangement and described a strong working relationship with city staff.
A board member moved to approve the agreement and the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The transcript did not include the contract dollar amount or the contract expiration date beyond noting a renewal for the current calendar year.
