The Ogdensburg Mayor and Council on July 10 introduced two ordinances and set public hearings for July 24.
Ordinance 09-2023 (proposed Section 18-7) would add an "Illicit Connection" prohibition to the borough's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System code. Councilwoman Ruitenberg moved the introduction and Councilman Poyer seconded; the measure passed introduction by roll call.
Ordinance 10-2023 (proposed Section 11-9) would add a new requirement for lead-based paint inspections of certain rental dwellings to comply with P.L. 2021, c.182. Ruitenberg made the motion to introduce and Poyer seconded; the council set a public hearing for July 24, 2023.
Both measures were introduced for public hearing and further consideration; no final votes on either ordinance were taken at the July 10 meeting.
