EDC reviews condo, hotel and sidewalk funding as town projects move forward

Minutes record that funding for planned sidewalk improvements is pending a decision by Jan. 20; Fred committed to covering any shortfall so the project could be completed within two years. Members also discussed Post Office Square aesthetic improvements but noted building owner Andy Nebenzal appears unlikely to invest in façade upgrades without outside grant support.
Because the committee lacked a quorum, these items were discussed but no formal votes were taken. The EDC agreed to continue monitoring the projects and to coordinate with the Planning Board and other town officials as necessary.
Members asked staff to track the Jan. 20 funding decision for sidewalks and report back to the EDC so potential budget gaps can be addressed before work begins.
