Roger Storrs of Public Works presented the engineer's report for the Lighting and Landscaping Assessment District and told council the proposed fiscal‑year assessments total approximately $1,200,000 and would be charged at the same rate as the prior year. "Assessments proposed for fiscal year 2026–27 are as shown in the engineer's report and total approximately $1,200,000," Storrs said.
The city clerk reported that notices and affidavits of publication were on file and no written protests had been received. With no public testimony, the council closed the hearing and adopted a resolution overruling protests, approving the engineer's report, ordering improvements and confirming the diagram and assessments.
The assessments will fund maintenance and operation of parks, landscaping, public lighting, traffic signals, curbs, gutters and sidewalks in the district, staff said.
