Peapack and Gladstone honors Gill St. Bernard’s champions and swears in promoted officers

Mayor Mark Corleano opened the May 5 meeting by presenting a borough proclamation recognizing the Gill St. Bernard’s School boys varsity basketball team for a 28–2 season, a No. 3 state ranking by NJ.com and the school’s first NJSIAA Non-Public B state championship. "I, Mark Corleano, as mayor of the borough, do hereby commend Gill St. Bernard's boys basketball team for their accomplishments," the mayor read, listing players and coaches and inviting the team forward for applause.
The council then moved and passed a consent resolution to approve personnel promotions under the listed promotion resolutions. By roll call the council approved the promotions; the mayor administered the oath of office to promoted officers. Corporal Paul Morris repeated the oath and was congratulated by council members and attendees.
The mayor and council also announced an appointment to the detective position: "We are going to appoint Luke Tamberllo to the position of detective," the mayor said, and council members joined in congratulating him.
The meeting’s ceremonial recognitions concluded with council members emphasizing community pride and the value of public safety staff. The council noted the promotions were handled by consent vote and that related ordinances and resolutions were available on the borough website for public review.
