Anderson and staff said they would set the matter for a public hearing in April and pursue the required legal advertisements and notices.
Council also reviewed related development compliance items later in the agenda: staff presented a CFM compliance review for an existing storage project (Grand Trump Storage) and an amended development agreement for PlayStreetDefco LLC tied to construction timeline revisions. Council accepted the compliance report and the amended agreement after staff explained construction challenges and the city’s coordination to adjust timelines.
The council took the annexation petition up as an introduction; the public hearing and final rezoning/annexation decision will occur in a subsequent meeting after published legal notices and the scheduled hearing date.
