The Chesterfield Board of Selectmen voted unanimously April 1 to appoint James Allen to the Economic Development Committee and to release several capital and trust fund disbursements.
Fran Shippee moved to appoint James Allen to the Economic Development Committee for a term through Dec. 31, 2028; Mary Ewell seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The appointment followed a written letter of interest reviewed under correspondence.
The Board approved three fiscal disbursements: a $9,422.02 end‑of‑year distribution from Donor Trust Funds (motion by Brad Roscoe; second by Gary Winn), $1,996.93 from the Town Buildings Maintenance Capital Reserve Fund to pay for a fence around a dumpster (motion by Fran Shippee; second by Gary Winn), and $11,800.00 from the Revaluation Capital Reserve Fund (motion by Fran Shippee; second by Mary Ewell). All motions passed unanimously.
Board members also voted to accept the March 18, 2026 regular minutes and two sets of non‑public minutes as amended.
The Selectmen entered two non‑public sessions under RSA 91‑A:3, II(c): the first beginning at 8:45 PM to discuss a tax deed property with the Tax Collector (they exited at 9:23 PM and later voted to seal those minutes), and a second at 9:25 PM to discuss the Parks & Recreation Director position, including whether an interim hire would be needed (they exited at 9:46 PM). The Board cited RSA 91‑A:3, II(c) when moving into both non‑public sessions.
