Chesterfield Zoning Board elects new chair and vice chair, seats alternate as full voting member

Kristin McKeon, the Zoning Board vice-chairperson, called the March 19, 2026 meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. and moved to seat Alternate Joseph Brodbine as a full voting member; Nate Lachance seconded and the motion passed unanimously on a roll-call vote (Lachance, McKeon, Nutting, Rodgers, Brodbine voted yes).
The board then reviewed minutes from the Sept. 18, 2025 meeting. Joseph Brodbine moved to approve the minutes as amended; Zachary Nutting seconded. The board approved the minutes unanimously on a roll-call vote (Brodbine, Lachance, McKeon, Nutting, Rodgers).
In officer nominations, an initial motion to make Nate Lachance chair was withdrawn after Lachance said he preferred to serve as vice chair. McKeon then moved to elect Lachance as Vice-Chairperson; Brodbine seconded. The motion carried unanimously. Brodbine moved to elect McKeon as Chairperson; Lachance seconded, and that motion also passed unanimously.
During the meeting Brodbine said he would be resigning from the Zoning Board; he also said James Corliss had resigned from the Planning Board and that Brodbine had been named the Planning Board chair. Brodbine urged that, because the Planning Board is down to six members with no alternates, a Zoning Board member consider becoming a Planning Board alternate to restore full membership.
The board adjourned the meeting by unanimous roll-call vote after a motion to adjourn at 7:33 p.m. The next Zoning Board meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
