Joelle Corey, Road Commissioner and Code Enforcement Officer, presented the road and code report at the Oct. 23 Selectmen meeting. Corey said the town has issued 37 building permits so far this calendar year and that seasonal asphalt work is complete.
Corey reported that Top Notch Tree Service removed trees at Letter S and that a generator has been installed at the Sunday River Fire Station; the minutes state the generator is waiting on a propane hookup scheduled for Nov. 4. EMA (Emergency Management Agency) has a meeting scheduled for the following day. The minutes also record that funds were donated to purchase a fire blanket for the station.
The minutes do not record public comment on these items or detail costs for the generator installation.
