New Melle planners record unanimous agenda, note property disrepair and thank outgoing commissioner

Commissioner Sims moved to approve the agenda; Commissioner Samuel Cummins seconded and the motion "passed unanimously" in the minutes. Commissioner Duggan then moved to approve the April minutes; Commissioner Cummins seconded and that motion also passed unanimously. The minutes do not list individual roll‑call votes or vote counts beyond the notation "passed unanimously."
Code Enforcement Officer Tony Follmer reported that he has notified New Melle Automotive that the property is in disrepair. According to the minutes, the property's owner told Follmer he has materials to make repairs but has not yet had time to do the work; Follmer will continue to monitor compliance.
The commission announced its next regular meeting for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 145 Almeling St., New Melle. The minutes also record that the Commission wished to recognize and thank Commissioner Samuel Cummins for his service and that he will be welcomed as an Alderman on the Board at their next meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. after Commissioner Cummins moved to adjourn, a motion seconded by Commissioner Pollihan that the minutes record as "passed unanimously."
