Councilwoman Breyer used council comments time at the July 7 special meeting to announce a candidates’ meet-and-greet scheduled for Thursday, July 9 at Gulfview Manor.
Breyer said the South Dibbern Heights Civic Association is hosting the event; Michigan and U.S. House and Senate candidates will be invited to introduce themselves for two to three minutes each, then sit at round tables with attendees for follow-up questions. She noted the council had no budget for refreshments and described the planned refreshments as water, coffee and light snacks.
The announcement was informational; no council action or funding was taken during the meeting.
