Dana council reviews administrative updates; security cameras and RV rules tabled

At its April 14 meeting the Dana Town Council recorded several administrative and operational updates: board members and Clerk/Treasurer Michelle Doan will attend a Rural Development training class on April 18; programming for the water plant from Torque Systems is awaiting scheduling; and discussion of office security cameras was tabled pending additional quotes.
The board also said the new town shop construction is waiting for a date from 'FBI Buildings' to begin, and it tabled further discussion about RVs and campers in town until the board completes additional research. Clerk/Treasurer Michelle Doan said she is updating records for the Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) and continuing account reconciliations, including work that reaches back to the year of the last audit.
Burning regulations were clarified: it is legal to burn clean wood and paper products in town but not past 6 p.m. unless the fire is a campfire. The board approved adjustments (motion by Martha Kritzer, seconded by Fred Craft) and adjourned the meeting (motion by Fred Craft, seconded by Martha Kritzer).
The board asked staff to follow up on camera quotes, scheduling for water plant programming, DLGF filings and reconciliation work, and to return with updates at a future meeting.
