The Village of Waldo Board of Trustees entered a closed session on June 2 to discuss a developers agreement and reconvened without taking action, according to the meeting minutes.
President Travis Thomas called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Trustees Joshua Behr, Jerry Hammarlund, Dennis Reinemann and Michael Hintz and Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Gillette were recorded present. Clerk Gillette certified the meeting complied with the Open Meetings Law before attendees recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Trustee Michael Hintz moved to enter closed session pursuant to SS. 19.85(1)(e), which the minutes cite as allowing "deliberating or negotiating the purchase of public properties, investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session (developer's agreement)." Trustee Jerome Hammarlund seconded the motion. A roll call vote recorded Josh Behr, Jerome Hammarlund, Travis Thomas, Dennis Reinemann and Michael Hintz voting "aye." The board went into closed session at 6:02 p.m.
The board reconvened into open session at 7:00 p.m. after a motion by Hintz, seconded by Behr, which carried. The minutes state that "no action was taken" on the closed-session item. Trustee Hintz then moved to adjourn, Trustee Behr seconded, and the meeting was adjourned at 7:02 p.m.
The minutes do not specify details of the developer's agreement discussed in closed session, any staff instructions or follow-up tasks, or subsequent dates for further consideration.
