Staff also presented the creation of a new Healing Springs Agricultural and Forestal District (Healing Springs Farm LLC; principal parcel ~826.5 acres, A‑2 zoning) and noted an updated packet was provided to correct a cover sheet and that an additional submission was received within the statutory 30‑day record.
A staff member summarized the overall filings and recommendations, saying the applications were recommended by the county’s Ag‑Forestal advisory review and that the county has received "10,034.42 acres of applications submitted since December." Commissioners opened public hearings for each item; no members of the public spoke against the proposals. When neighbors asked whether notices indicated any impact to their property, staff explained that state code requires notices to adjoining landowners but confirmed a caller’s property would not be affected.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved recommendation motions for the Ellisville and Goldmine Creek additions and for the Healing Springs district; each vote was taken by roll call. Several commissioners praised the applicants and staff outreach: one commissioner called Healing Springs a "beautiful property" and commended staff for neighborhood engagement.
The commission’s approvals are recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, which will consider final action at a subsequent meeting. The commission also noted more Agricultural and Forestal District applications are expected next month.
