Humboldt County supervisors approve routine claims, certify election results and table DOT detour agreement

The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors approved several routine and administrative items at its Nov. 24, 2025 meeting, including claims payment, a contractor final voucher, and certification of local election results.
Supervisor Rasmussen moved and Supervisor Carpenter seconded to approve the meeting agenda; the motion passed with all voting aye. The board also approved the Nov. 17 meeting minutes on a motion by Supervisor Reimers, seconded by Rasmussen.
County Engineer Ben Loots presented a proposed DOT detour agreement scheduled for summer 2027. Supervisor Reimers moved and Supervisor Rasmussen seconded to table approval of the agreement so the board could further consider safety and effects on the school; the motion passed with all voting aye.
The board approved final voucher #2 for project BROS-CO46(90)—8J-46 to Progressive Structures, Inc. on a motion by Supervisor Carpenter, seconded by Rasmussen; the motion passed with all voting aye.
Supervisor Rasmussen moved and Supervisor Reimers seconded to approve Resolution 2025 11-24 certifying (canvas) Humboldt County election results (Tier 2) for the Nov. 4, 2025 City/School Election. A roll-call vote was recorded: Carpenter — aye; Pedersen — aye; Rasmussen — aye; Reimers — aye; Thompson — aye. The resolution passed.
On a motion by Rasmussen and seconded by Carpenter, the board approved claims totaling $225,585.05 and drainage claims totaling $4,210.77 as read in the meeting; the County Auditor was instructed to issue warrants on the specified funds. The transcript includes a detailed vendor list and totals.
