Dave Hundertmark urged the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors on Nov. 17 to require that decisions about developing windmills in the county be decided by a countywide vote.
Hundertmark addressed the Board during the public comment period and recommended that “the decision of windmills developing in Humboldt County be voted on at an election, by the voters who reside in Humboldt County,” according to the meeting record. The Board did not take further action on the request during the meeting.
Chairperson Rick Pedersen opened the public comment period and recorded Hundertmark’s recommendation for the minutes; no board motion or vote followed. The topic was not placed on the meeting agenda for formal consideration at this session.
